
The port is located in the eastern bay of Le Castella village. It consists of a northern dock and a stretch of sea bounded by a curvilinear outer breakwater and a small inner jetty. The dock, that is not yet completed, is well protected against the winds and can accommodate boats with draft no deeper than 2m.
The stretch of sea bounded by the two breakwaters is subject to backwater with winds blowing from the east/south-east.
Caution: banks and reefs starboard when entering the port.
Access: Pay attention to backwash and shallow water. Vessels with drifts exceeding 2m are not allowed in the northern dock; stay on the left when entering the dock.

Strong winter winds from N-NE and SW; dangerous coastal storm from the eastward and south-east in autumn. For the rest of the year, winds are generally low, with the exception of the south-east wind.
