The port consists of a two-branched south-east outer breakwater about 450m long. The Martello wharf is 160 m long, it is oriented from north to east and delimits the entrance with a 240m-long inner breakwater. The main jetty lies in the middle of the inner stretch of water, and the bank is paved.

Inside the harbor, on the right hand, there is a dock confined by the main jetty and two secondary ones. A new dock was opened in July 2009; it has floating jetties equipped with water and electricity systems. The harbor is provided with 500 berths, as well as toilets and showers.

The town of Cetraro and the local branch of the Italian Naval League directly ran the marina until November 30^th 2009.

Caution: Seafloor may change due to silting up. It is thus recommended to contact the local Maritime Authority (Ufficio Circondariale Marittimo) prior to entry into the port. Pay attention to mooring buoys and posts during docking to the inner breakwater.

Access: craft entering and leaving the port should contact the Maritime Authority by vhf channel 16 or phone. Velocity should not exceed 3 knots within 50 m from the entrance and inside the port. Craft entering and leaving the port should stay between the entrance and the green light to avoid the partial shifting of the end of the Martello wharf.

Bans: fishing is not allowed in the marina and within 200m from the entrance and port structures, bathing is not allowed within 500 m from the port.
